Stripe is the payment processor that operates behind the scenes of Harness's fundraising pages and allows you to receive donations (processes payments).
Stripe has its own policies regarding how often they pay out, how long it takes to process funds, etc. Here's a short breakdown of how Stripe handles your funds and how long it will take to reach your bank account:
Stripe Donations
Stripe will automatically transfer funds received through Harness from your Stripe account to your bank account based on the settings in your transfer schedule. You can change your payout/deposit schedule anytime directly through your Stripe account.
Transfers will automatically be completed every 1-2 business days. However, your first transfer may take a little longer, around 7-10 days. In most other countries, transfers are set to be completed every 7 business days.
You can access a summary of past and upcoming payouts, along with estimated dates of when they will reflect in your bank account (see image below) directly within Stripe.
We've also created a one-stop-shop Harness Payout Report (CSV/Excel) that corresponds exactly with the deposits you receive so you can download & reconcile with Quickbooks/other financial tools you might use.
FAQ's
Can I connect my Stripe account to more than 1 bank account?
Unfortunately, Stripe does not allow you to connect more than 1 bank account. As an alternative, we recommend creating campaigns within Harness to easily distinguish between different types of gifts you'd normally prefer to direct to separate bank accounts so that after you've received the deposit of funds you can transfer that amount to another bank account.
